I’m Mel. I’m a mama, tea drinker, beach lover, baker, picture taker and health geek. I’m winding my way through a Nutritional Medicine degree. When I’m not eating or striking a downward dog, I’m most likely fantasising of my next meal to come.
My philosophy is simple. Don’t negatively label foods – it only encourages ‘food guilt’. There is only healthy, soul-nourishing food, and then there is ‘sometimes food’; focus on including plenty of real food into your diet and you’ll find that magic balance.
Moderation is key, and that’s why you’ll see a mixture of recipes on here, most of them healthy and wholefoods-based, and some with a touch of naughty. There is so much more to nutrition than simply food itself; it’s also about creating, learning, sharing and healing. And being kind enough to let yourself have that piece of chocolate after a rough day.
